Here's something new to add to your collection of wine gadgets...
The Wine Chill.
It's a cold metal rod with a pouring thing on the end that you stick into your already-opened bottle of wine.
It keeps your wine seriously cold for an hour!
Very smart design and useful for those summer days where you and your wines can't escape the heat.

- Hassle-free. No need for ice buckets
- The wine chiller aerator chills and refines as you serve
- The bottle stays dry and the label visible
- Takes up little storage space in the freezer and at the table
- Recommended by sommeliers and wine writers
- The perfect gift!

Adelaide Hills, South Australia
BK Wines was established in 2007 by Brendon and Kirstyn Keys. The goal has been to create fabulous art. Beautiful, unique, sensuous, deceptively minimalist, envelope-pushing art. After learning from masters in NZ, Argentina and California, they trained their sites on the Adelaide Hills because it’s just a cracking great place to live and make wine. With no pretentions to be somewhere it’s not and few preconceived notions about what wine styles to expect, this is a place where non-conformity is the rule. The winery is situated in Lenswood where it is tucked away surrounded by bush land and vines.

Brendon’s greatest strengths as a winemaker are his passion for artistic expression and his uncompromising quest for high-quality fruit. When it comes to the process of winemaking, Brendon’s goal, first and foremost, is to source exceptional small vineyards producing grapes that reflect the individuality of a particular site. As a winemaker he uses a minimalist approach to gently guide well-chosen fruit to a beautiful final result in the bottle. This combination of an artistic soul and unyielding quality standards makes Brendon a recognised master of his craft.

BK Wines are known for their relatively low alcohol content.
This means more of it can be enjoyed!

Mazi Syrah 2012
Darkly intricate and animated, with the vigour expected of a wine from biodynamic soils teeming with life. This one, however, sat back for 16 months in 100% new oak barrels, softening the timbre and easing the tension. Black tea tannins and a rich, berry compote, this wine is intended for cold winter nights, crackly fires and contemplative arrogance.
Alcohol: 13.5%

Gower Pinot Noir 2013
The vinous equivalent of Swaby Chardonnay’s affluent husband, 2013 Gower Pinot Noir is the kind of wealthy that makes other men seethe.
He is resolutely impossible to despise. Confident and commanding, a disciplined and masterful athlete, dashing in a well-tailored suit, quick with a warm smile and a clever retort and never short of generous advice or the use of his yacht. After a year of nothing but gains to his portfolio, he summers at his family villa on the Côte d’Or wandering his own vines and scheming a brilliant future.

Cult Syrah 2014
When Cult Syrah first hit the scene he was a mouthy upstart; a belligerent, in-your-face raconteur with noisy, controversial opinions on everything from Justin Bieber to geopolitics.
With every subsequent vintage he has matured, though we would never say mellowed. Gone are the screaming outbursts and rough edges verging at times on frivolity, replaced by a seriousness of purpose and the wisdom not to offend. He’s a grown-up sherbet, a tannic sorbet. He’s black pepper, curry leaf, cumin, bacon fat and salt. Where once he fidgeted, Cult Syrah now regally presides.

Syrah Nouveau
A meaty, gamey wine – duck rillettes and paté (or vegetarian bacon, if you must) – but with the juiciness of cherry pie and raspberry compote. The easy, layered expression is pure rural France on a lazy Sunday – the clink of pétanque boules, the chalky dust of a dry pathway through the grass, the gritty scent of grilled saucisson. Our summer brunch takes a talkative, mildly raucous, hand-waving turn toward the end of the day and into dusk.
